Our focus is early jazz, blues, and ragtime. We do many tunes from 1900-1920, including W.C. Handy, some familiar and rare tunes, and instrumental rags (Scott Joplin, etc.) We are often hired for Prohibition , Steampunk , and Senior events. We also play a lot of original tunes by bandleader Jerry Rabushka, many of which fit into the early jazz/blues style, but also go into other genres as well (folk, country, etc). If we know what you are looking for, we can often tailor a show to your needs. (We are not a cover/jukebox band.) We can do a small ensemble show, say keys with singers, drums, etc., or bring a larger ensemble with guitar, horns, etc. We can travel.
The Ragged Blade Band was the perfect sound for the DeMoulin Museum's concert on the grounds series. Very talented musicians. Easy to work with. We'll definitely have them back!
