The Professional Pianist

I am a seasoned professional who prides my self on serving clients while handling details myself. I will show up, on-time, every time, and handle all musical responsibilities myself.

I enjoy playing music and interacting with people. In a party environment, I am pleased to accept and attempt requests.

I enjoy playing weddings and sharing in a special day with couples. My most common wedding request is Pachebel's "Canon in D." My strangest wedding request was "Tiny Dancer." My loudest wedding request was the theme from "Star Trek" on a 3-manual pipe organ. The most memorable ceremonies are the ones that celebrate the uniqueness of the couple.

Corporate gigs are a wonderful opportunity to provide a professional service to professionals. I have been hired for background music, holiday music, and even game show music! I've learned to expect the unexpected. The best gigs are gigs that authentically represent the client.

Pianist Julia Andrews is an active performer of chamber music and jazz piano. She performs regularly across the Midwest with the jazz trio “Surprisingly Hip.” Along with vocalist Kara Leigh, Andrews released her first cd, "Black Coffee" in the fall of 2007.

Andrews graduated with the Master of Music degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She received two Bachelors’ of Music degrees in piano and music theory from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Andrews made her international debut in November 2008 as a guest artist at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music International Contemporary Music Festival in Vietnam.
