Catchy and Meaningful Songs

Polk Duo is amazing! I have heard them perform/minister live on two occasions and both times it made me want to buy all of their music. Me and my daughter sing Any Day together all of the time. Their most recent song that I've heard was such a positive message that I've been singing it to myself ever since I saw them at Faith Point Fellowship's Midnight Musical 2016! I wish this dynamic duo much success in marriage and in music!

Hired as: Acoustic Band, Christian Band

Anointed!

We have invited Myranda and Kasey several times to our chapel services at GCTS. They are an amazing duo to work with and the anointing is overwhelming! They are professional and true ministers of music. You can really tell that they are diligently dedicated to their craft and to the Lord. I would recommend them for any event. They are two of the most talented musicians and writers that I have ever met in my lifetime!

About

Kasey and Myranda love providing music for your events! They both fell in love with each other through playing in the college jazz band! She was the vocalist for the group and Kasey doubled on guitar and clarinet. Kasey and Myranda have been performing together since 2011 and plan on gigging until they physically can't do it anymore!

Myranda Polk: A NC born native, Myranda holds a degree in music education with a vocal concentration! She is the voice of the duo! She can sing anything from classical to jazz music and is always willing to learn and explore new genres of music! Myranda started singing at the early age of 4. Her roots of singing stem in gospel music and during college she found love in singing jazz and classical music. Myranda's beautiful timbre will leave you asking for more every time you hear her sing. Myranda currently is a K-5 music teacher and is working on releasing her first solo album next year. She can currently be heard on NC A&T SU's Jazz All Stars CD titled " Preeminence: A Jazz Anthropology" and soon to be released Power In Unity 2014 Compilation CD. She currently performs and gigs in various churches around the Triad and in Charlotte by the name MyrandaWrytes.

Kasey Polk: A California native, Kasey is the guitarist of the group and holds a degree in clarinet performance and electronica music from NC A&T SU! Kasey has played guitar for over 10 years and loves to listen to various types of music. Some of his influences on guitar include Wes Montgomery, Chick Cora, Joe Pass and Freddie Green. He has also played clarinet for about 9 years. His clarinet influences include Sidney Bechet, Eddie Daniels, and Martin Frost to name a few. Kasey has performed as a clarinetist at the Triad Stage in Greensboro, The Greensboro Concert Band, Vance Granville Concert Band, and HBCU All Star Band. Kasey also started a middle school band in Henderson, North Carolina through the Teach For America program. Kasey continues to play for various events around the Triad and Charlotte area.
