The Pogy Band
Overview
The Pogy Band has been together now for nine years and counting. We are a close knit family who appreciate the dynamic era of classic rock and roll music we grew up in. We open up the door for younger generations to hear and be exposed to this great genre of rock, blues and country. We perform at venues, outdoor festivals, block parties, special events and private parties. The Pogy Band can play boot scooting boogie or slow dance tunes that bring back all those great memories. So come on down if you get the chance, stay awhile, roll up your pants.......

What to expect
The Pogy Band is not a typical southern rock only group. We have been told by venue owners and managers in the past, that the diversity of our music selection is a refreshing change. Our catalog can run from Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman to Little Bit Crazy by Blackberry Smoke. A healthy dose of blues and some country is also mixed in on some of our set lists depending on venue expectations. Keys to the Highway by Bill Broonzy is on the audio section of this site if you care to listen to a blues selection. Brooks & Dunn, Dwight Yoakum, Delbert McClinton, Kentucky Headhunters and the Mavericks are but a few that come to mind regarding our country flavor. The generation we all grew up in is the musical compass that we follow. No alternative, grunge, punk or rap. Healthy does of diverse classic rock songs, good old blues and a dash of honky-tonk dancing and rockabilly. If this is the music you like best then you might want to reach out and give us a call.
About
The Pogy Band was first formed from a church praise team back in 2011. We are from Loganville, Georgia. A bunch of of guys just having fun jamming together on weekends. We began to explore all the musical influences that we grew up with in classic rock and decided to create a set list of songs to play regularly. Therefor the four piece Pogy Band was formed. We have had several line up changes over the years which is consistent with most bands as time moves on. Our current group has been together for 4 years. Currently we all in our mid lives and mostly retired from our day jobs. Getting together and practicing for a venue is fun as we love to play out locally in the surrounding counties. It is just as gratifying for us to play at a nearby American Legion as it is to perform at an outdoor community festival. So we continue to rock on and enjoy the music we grew up listening to. Hopefully we will come and perform for you in the very near future.
Additional booking notes
The Pogy Band has a sound technician who monitors our devices and runs the sound board. We utilize a Behringer PMP 6000 sound board attached to a 50ft Rapcohorizon cable snake. Then XLR cables go from the snake to the bands microphones and guitar amps. Band members guitars are wireless from the amps to the instruments. The band uses a Behringer Europower EPQ 304 power amplifier for stage monitors for the vocalist and drummer. 12 inch Behringer monitor speakers. Alto 15 inch main speakers mounted on tri pod poles for venue sound. Also use 12 inch Peavys at smaller venues. Shure 58 microphones with cables.
