The Plants

Expect dancing and lots of it!

The Plants are a four piece Philadelphia based band for kids. With their eclectic style, they traverse musical genres while exploring the potential of the imagination. Each song is specifically written to spark new ideas, evoke different emotions, and encourage creativity. From a snake wearing flip-flops to intergalactic insects, the lighthearted music of The Plants is catchy, often times silly, and fun for children and adults alike.
The Plants debut album, Sprouting Out, released in May of 2011 and was instantly embraced by Philadelphia’s family entertainment industry. Kids Corner on WXPN 88.5 was the first program to pick up the album. Sprouting Out features a variety of styles from Doo Wop to Funk, and musically engages children of all ages. The Plants are proud to announce the release of their second album, In Full Bloom, which sustains the range and imaginative character of Sprouting Out, while pushing to reach new heights of musical enjoyment.
In Full Bloom has a little of something for every listener. It is, to name a few, a rocket pack journey, a dance party with werewolves, a ninja and an elephant lost at sea, a rock concert in London, a giant dragon who lives on an island full of gold, and of course a second installment of the tale of a tribe of intergalactic insects and their voyage through space. With over two hours of original and highly engaging music at their disposal, The Plants are excited for the busy season ahead.
