The Photos We're Taking

From the minute we meet up to the moment our session concludes - I want my clients to feel comfortable and at ease. That's when the best photos happen. I often go through breathing exercises to help people relax, and/or tell jokes (but they aren't always good ones). I will give pointers on posing, facial expressions, body positioning and more!

My name is Anna. I'm a transplant from New Jersey by way of New York City. I fell in love with Rhode Island in 2007 and could never bring myself to leave it since.

If it's possible to inherit a photography gene, I think I did. My mother was an incredibly talented photographer, who sadly did not get the recognition she deserved until after she passed away, in 1995.​ Her work is currently featured at Smith College and there is a residency scholarship in her name at Yaddo artists retreat.

About eight years ago, I bought my first camera, solely for the purpose of capturing moments that without documentation, would be gone forever. With my mother's old leather camera strap and a desire to capture beautiful moments, I ventured out into Newport, RI.

In the past eight years, I have worked with clients including (or have been featured in) Lonely Planet, The Wayfinder Hotel, Cabana NPT, Stoneacre Brasserie, Newport Naked Magazine, The Rhode Island Beverage Journal, Czig Meister Brewery, The Preserve Infrared Sauna and more.

Additionally, I have done countless photoshoots for families, weddings, engagements, bridal showers, baby showers, bachelorettes and life announcements & more.
