Overview

The Niche - a dynamic musical group! Two live musicians and two full-time lead singer/entertainers perform combined with professionally produced rhythm tracks to provide performances that sound more like the original recordings - but with LIVE band energy! With two vocalists out-front, there's high engagement with your guests and the dance floor. THE NICHE's smaller footprint means social distancing and better control over volume and performance. We offer a very popular 5th piece - a DJ/MC which switches with the band as you prefer - and that DJ comes at an amazing price! THE NICHE is a Gigsalad "Top Performer".

A MUST book for your event!

The Niche was the perfect band for our gala event. They were so great to work with, incredibly responsive, high energy, and had our dance floor bumping all night long. They were so flexible with all of our requests, including performing with a special guest we had! They set the perfect tone for our event and are an absolute must book!

The Niche ....best live performance ever !!!

Omg you guys were spectacular !!! You really made her birthday one she will never forget. And thanks again for playing her favorite songs. Came early quick setup and kept safe social distancing with masks I rate them a 10 and recommend them all the way !!! We really felt like we were at a concert !!! Such a legendary epic night it was an honor !!! So happy we found and can't wait till the next one !!! God bless and thanks again !!!!

What to expect

Unlike most smaller bands- The Niche always has two dedicated full time front-line vocalists - male and female - to ensure a concert style look and premium quality of singers. Our music director runs DJ tracks and plays live keyboards and sings back-up, our sax player also sings backup and plays percussion. It's a dynamic look - in a smaller package. You'll see our singers and sax player out on the floor with your guests and you can customize by adding a live DJ or any extra pieces. We come with special stage lighting, state-of-the-art sound gear and a clean, contemporary look. The Niche videos are literally LIVE - most bands record their video and lip-sync their vocals- but our video is 100% live, just as we sound. About

The Niche consists exclusively of full time singers & musicians working in the NYC area, all of whom have touring and recording experience with multiple major stars. We are not an agency - we are an actual group of musicians who know each other, and love working regularly together. We are not "plugged in together" like big bands in fancy agencies - we are a small collective of top drawer performers who have all known each other for years. We have collectively done hundreds of weddings and corporate events over time. In the Niche, we fuse together live performances with our proprietary recorded tracks in a smaller package - typically 4 or 5 pieces. We expand to a big band, with 10 - 12 pieces under the name New York Soul. Whatever our clients prefer, we customize and deliver. We're excited to play together for your special event!!

Additional booking notes

We come complete with full lighting, sound gear and musical equipment. We can set up for ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions and parties all at once, since we often provide full service for weddings and corporate events. We are fully insured and any of your logistical requirements will be professionally handled.
