May 4, 2026We had the honor of having The New York Soulful Singers perform at my father-in-law’s memorial service. He passed away during COVID, and at the time our family was unable to hold a proper memorial. Being able to finally gather and celebrate his life was deeply meaningful to us.
From our very first phone call, The New York Soulful Singers were thoughtful, compassionate, and attentive. They took the time to discuss the songs we requested and made sure every detail reflected the love and respect we wanted to show.
When I say they were outstanding, I truly mean it. Their voices were powerful, heartfelt, and moving. Their performance brought comfort to our family and created a beautiful atmosphere that made the service even more special.
We are sincerely grateful to The New York Soulful Singers for helping us honor our loved one in such a memorable way. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a professional, compassionate, and exceptional musical experience for a meaningful occasion.

March 10, 2020I was blessed enough to have this choir attend and perform for my mothers memorial services. Their voices lifted not just the halls of the sanctuary but everyone’s spirits therein. They were consummate professionals, kind, courteous and INSANELY TALENTED. The attendees talked about them for days. While the occasion was heavy- their voices brought light to the day. I hope to book them again for a more joyous, celebratory occasion. There were 7 members for this event, including the pianist- who moved from organ to keyboard with ease. Thank y’all so much for being a part of this day. Thank y’all for your words and spirit and strength and thank God for your talent.

Performing for Thousands of people across the United States and Overseas spreading love and hope throughout the world. This Gospel based choir sings music of all genres, R&B, Soul, Motown, Funk, Jazz, Country, Inspirational and is well versed in Acapella style singing. NYSS has had the pleasure of performing with some of the greatest celebrities of our time including: Shania Twain, H.E.R, Yolanda Adams, Common, Ibeyi, Jake Miller, Nina Nesbitt, Chromeo, SIA, The 1975, American Authors, Nile Rogers, DJ Nicky Siano (HALLELUJAH DISCO) and so much more. They strive to remain humble and thank God for having the opportunity to have performed at amazing venues and events such as Carnegie Hall, The Famous Apollo Theatre, Cipriani, Afro Punk, Celebrate Brooklyn at Prospect Park Bandshell and more. They have traveled all over the world performing in different countries (Finland, Copenhagen, Italy, Martinique, London, France, Spain, Portugal and so many more.) In 2019, they became partners with the Sing for Hope Foundation where they volunteer around the tri-state area sharing love and hope through song to all individuals that they come in contact with. Leaving such a mark in every place that their voice bless, God has blessed them with so many opportunities and is continuing to Open doors for them. They expect 2020 to be a wonderful year as they plan for their world tour and they will visit over 10 countries.
