An experienced and professional performer who can entertain and engage any audience! Through years of performing I have developed a keen sense of when to switch it up and can tailor performances to the audience I have. Equipped with my own PA system so I can provide amplification for almost any sized venue if needed or am comfortable doing fully unplugged as well as voive can project quite easily. Can learn specific material for a performance when needed if some notice provided. I love playing and performing and will ensure lots of songs get played I wont take endless breaks I'm always looking for opportunities to play, meet new people and hopefully develop some new fans!
The Moonshine Credence is the musical alias of Adam Mathew Shilton and the moniker he uses for all of his musical endeavors. An Ottawa based singer-songwriter known for his unique powerful voice and commanding stage presence The Moonshine Credence will draw you in whether he's playing in a pub with his vast sets of covers or promoting his own solo original material. Having developed his own unique style after many years of playing in bands he draws influences from the likes of The Band, Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Sublime, Jack Johnson, Bob Marley and Nathaniel Rateliff. His covers sets are vast and diverse so you can expect to hear an eclectic mix of songs featuring Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, The Tragically Hip, The Beatles, CCR, Jay Z, Weezer Pearl Jam, and so much more.
Adam was previously the frontman of the Victoria, BC band Manitario which developed a strong local following and received radio airplay, sponsorships and festival appearances. Now back where he grew up in the Nation's Capital he is out on his own as a solo artist and is releasing his songs independently and playing his tunes for audiences wherever he can find them!
