The Monk's Brew is a multi-talented jazz quartet that performs instrumental and vocal tunes in a wide variety of styles. In addition to appearing in professional venues, The Brew has been hired to perform for fundraisers, private clubs, and private parties. Always professional, the group sports suits or tuxedos and works closely with event planners to arrange the perfect performance. The group owns all necessary equipment and is willing to travel.

Gig Length: 60 - 240 minutes
What to Expect
The band arrives to any gig a minimum of two hours prior to performance time. This is to ensure that set-up, soundcheck, and other activities are conducted with minimal disturbance to the venue and event participants. If two hours advance arrival is not satisfactory, a new arrival time can be arranged.
The Brew can dress in traditional black and white suits, suits with colored shirts (our usual), or tuxedos. Any alternate dress can be arranged.
The Brew formed in late 2011 in Erie, PA. The group starting by exploring jazz standards, but is now writing and recording original music.
When it comes to a classy party, reception, or other events, the group returns with ease to its roots in the jazz standards. Our original writing has enhanced our perspective on traditional jazz and has allowed us to practice our show presentation. Thus, this experience has elevated our event performances.
Additional Booking Notes
The band asks that any distance outside of 30 miles is reimbursed with $25 per 30 miles. For instance, 15 miles would result in no additional pay, but a 45 mile trip would result in a $25 increase.
