The MOBB - The Missouri Big Band

That sound! The irresistible sound of soaring trumpets, robust trombones, wailing saxophones, and that swinging rhythm section…the sound of The MOBB – The Missouri Big Band.

Founded in the fall of 2013, The Missouri Big Band is a swinging, screaming, and roaring 17-piece Big Band that celebrates the best Swing and Jazz big band music of all time.

Under the direction of lifetime musician and music educator Joe Pappas (55th inductee to the Missouri Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame) and featuring vocalist, Joe Scalzitti. The MOBB is dedicated to recreating the best sounds of the late 30's, the 40's, the 50's, and beyond.

We also offered a 11-piece Mini-MOBB version of the band for smaller events/venues.

The band requires a minimum of standard 110-120V (60 Hz) electrical outlet.

Due to the size of the band, the size and layout of the potential performance space would need to discussed and agreed upon between the band and the event booker prior to booking.

Professional sound equipment and sound technician are available to be subcontracted (at an additional cost) if needed for the event / performance space (please discuss with band at or prior to booking to determine if this will be needed for your performance space/location).
