The Milk and Cookies Santa

I have been married to my wonderful bride for 42 years. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I have worked in the grocery industry for 45 years. I am an amateur astronomer. I like to golf and I Love being Santa.
It was a coworker’s daughter who started me on the path to becoming Santa several years ago. Three years old at the time, she took one look at me, pointed her finger at me with her mouth hanging open and was frantically tugging on her father’s pants leg as I walked towards them. He was too busy with his conversation so I gave a little wave as I walked past her. I later asked my coworker if his daughter thought I was Santa. He said yeah, sorry man. I replied sorry? That’s the good stuff in life. Ever since, I started playing into it for this young lady. She comes to see me several times a year and especially in early December to tell me what she wants for Christmas. I grew my hair, beard, and mustache out. I started wearing T-shirt Santa costumes during the holidays and gave candy canes to children as I encountered them in the store. Over time, I came to realize that when people looked at me they didn’t see ME, they saw this mythological figure that broke down all barriers of age, gender and ethnicity and they just smiled or laughed. I figured if I can bring that much joy to people during the depressing time that was Covid, simply with my appearance, I needed to do more. I bought a suit and started studying how to be Santa. I hope I can bring some joy to your family and bring a little of the magic that is Santa to you and your children.
