The Midtown Riders deliver a sophisticated, high-energy blend of R&B and jazz rooted in a deep-pocket groove. Formed in 2020 by guitarist Kai Gluska and drummer Eden Har-Gil after relocating to NYC, the band has built a reputation for a sound that’s both inventive and soulful. Drawing inspiration from artists like D’Angelo and Charlie Hunter, Gluska performs on a self-built “Frankenstein” guitar, simultaneously covering bass and guitar, while Har-Gil drives the music with a dynamic, jazz-infused feel. Joined by acclaimed vocalist Wanda Civic-known for her projects Double Takes and Live in Paris, and appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon-the group delivers rich textures, tight grooves, and an engaging, feel-good live experience.
