The McNeills

The McNeills are a Southern Gospel Quartet with some of the cutest backup singers in Texas. The main quartet consists of Dad (Chris), Mom (Michelle), Caylie (20), and Landon (15). Our younger children help us out on various songs and sometimes even form a quartet of their own! The McNeills are similar in style to The Isaacs, the Gaither Vocal Band and The Martins. They sing southern gospel, bluegrass gospel, and country gospel - anything from the old time hymns to new southern gospel greats; from acoustic sets (with the mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and piano) to tracks to a Capella songs.

The McNeills desire is to partner with local church bodies to spread the love of Christ through song and testimony, and to draw the community into local churches. They want to encourage existing church members, but also to help draw those without a church home into the body of Christ. They strive to create an environment of worship that helps people to reflect on their need for a savior and their walk with Christ, rather than provide mere entertainment. The hope is that each concert will point people to Christ and the truth of His Word. Interdenominational in their message, The McNeills desire to draw the body of Christ together in a spirit of unity - to focus people, not on their differences, but on their similarities - Christ's love for us.

The McNeills set out on their musical journey with the above mission. As they have gone along, the Lord unexpectedly expanded their ministry. He has provided them with a vision to share the importance of family and raising a Godly seed - the next generation of Christ-lovers and Christ-sharers. The McNeill children are an active, joyful part of the ministry. The McNeills travel as a family and minister as a family. The older children will often share their thoughts and feelings about how a song or the Word has impacted them and their walk, and love to talk with the young and old when they have the opportunity. The McNeills desire to encourage young people in their faith - to follow Christ, even when it is hard.

Chris and Michelle grew up at First Baptist Church of Garland. They were involved in the youth and adult choirs, special ensembles, and praise teams. As they grew into adulthood, they began taking on leadership rolls within the church. While Chris worked on his business degree, he worked as a youth pastor in a Congregational Church. Once he and Michelle were married and moved back to Garland, he began directing the middle and high school choirs at First Baptist Church of Garland. Both Chris and Michelle continued on the the adult choir and ensemble during this time. Chris eventually went on to become the worship leader in the contemporary service at First Baptist Church of Garland. Michelle led bible studies within the church and participated in Bible Study Fellowship as a Children's Leader. Chris and Michelle eventually left FBCG when they moved to the country to raise their children. The McNeills attended a Greenville, Texas home fellowship - a 200+ member home fellowship, until they were sent out to start a new fellowship. Now that they are travelling and/or singing most Sundays, they enjoy visiting different local fellowships as their schedule allows. With a strong desire to give back to the community, The McNeills can often be found singing at the local Veterans Home in Bonham, or various Nusring Home/Assisted living facilities.

The McNeills provide all of their own sound equipment and handle all setup/tear down. They ask that they be allowed access to the facility a minimum of two hours prior to the event in order to set up their sound equipment and do a full sound check. They ask that people not be allowed into the event area during this time. The McNeills LOVE to talk with folks and can be easily distracted from their setup because they enjoy visiting with people. They also would like to protect the ears of concert goers in the event of feedback during sound check. It is helpful if a room is provided where they can gather for prayer and last minute dressing/preparation.
