Steven Himmel is an award-winning professional magician with more than 20 years of experience entertaining audiences at private parties, weddings, corporate events, restaurants, cocktail receptions, and special occasions.

Originally from Chicago, Steven built his career performing close-up magic in restaurants, where he learned how to do far more than simply perform tricks. He learned how to read a room, connect with different personalities, improvise, and create memorable experiences without ever making guests feel uncomfortable or put on the spot.

His career later took him to Los Angeles, where he performed for approximately seven years at Cecconi’s West Hollywood and became a featured performer at Hollywood’s legendary Magic Castle. Steven is also a two-time first-place winner of the Magic Castle’s Strolling Close-Up Showdown.

Over the years, he has performed for audiences ranging from intimate private gatherings to major corporate events and celebrities including Michael Jordan, Britney Spears, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Cumberbatch, Glenn Close, Jennifer Hudson, Howie Mandel, Paul Stanley, Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne, and many others.

Now based in Las Vegas, Steven specializes in close-up and strolling magic that combines sleight of hand, mind reading, humor, and audience interaction. His performances happen just inches away from guests, with impossible moments taking place in their hands and right before their eyes.
