The Loudoun Quartet (flute, violin, viola, cello) is dedicated to performing a wide variety of music from classical to popular, everything from Bach to Coldplay. The quartet can perform in different combinations of instruments, including solo, duo, trio, and quartet, based on budget and the size of the event. The Loudoun Quartet is equally at home providing background music for corporate functions, private parties, weddings and same-sex ceremonies, as well as performing in a more formal concert setting.

Maria was fantastic! My wife and I live in Oregon and Maria was very accommodating with working out a music list via email and phone. Maria's playing was wonderful and she adapted the music to our ceremony and cocktail hour extremely well, shortening songs or lengthening them as needed. My daughter and her fiance wanted every aspect of their wedding to express who they are. They both loved the quartet idea and contacted Maria Baylock. This extremely talented group of musicians played before the wedding and for cocktail hour. The quartet played a wide range of selections from Baroque to current hits and the couple was thrilled!

The Loudoun Quartet formed in 2002 and consists of the unique combination of flute, violin, viola, and cello. Craig Marlowe, Maryory Serrano, Nora Hamme, and Zach Whitaker all perform with the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra and are professional, conservatory-trained musicians. The quartet is well-rehearsed and highly experienced in performing at many different events and venues throughout the Washington, DC area, including such popular locations as Oatlands Plantation, Bluemont Vineyards, Raspberry Falls, Briar Patch Inn, HIllsborough Vineyards, and the New Waterford Old School, to name just a few. Clients can expect an extensive repertoire list; prompt and clear communication via email, text, Skype, or FaceTime; and kind, caring, professionalism throughout the process of booking and negotiating all the details of the event.
We require four chairs, and can provide our own lighting if necessary. If the performance is outdoors, shade is preferred and plan for inclement weather is essential.
