March 11, 2023Best Party Band EVER!
We love The Lost Boys and always have an amazing time at their performances, so it was a no-brainer to celebrate my husband's birthday with them. Our friends had a blast dancing to some of our favorite songs and we really appreciated the personal birthday shout-out and group sing along to Happy Birthday. We enjoy every performance we get to attend and have more fun than should be allowed by law.

About
Houston's Premiere 80's Band The Lost Boys have been rockin’ H-Town and the Lone Star state since 2005!
Often Imitated but NEVER replicated, The Lost Boys have taken Texas by storm… setting club records and entertaining the masses with non-stop 80s hits! With each performance, they bring the 80s back to life… covering all the familiar pop hits, glam rock and new wave/punk of the ME Decade– performing them to perfection just as the original artists did. This band doesn't have to "put their own spin" on each song - hear all the songs you love (and some you thought you forgot!) the same way they were played in that decadent decade. Even female songs! Imagine that?!
The Lost Boys Ultimate 80s Dance Band – a tribute to all 80s artists, from Glam Rock to New Wave to Punk to 80s Style Pop - are distinguished as one of Houston’s top musical acts, specializing in weddings, special events, and themed club nights - all without cheap gimmicks and over the top cringe - Just GREAT musicianship, fun and a Love for the music.
The band has performed all across the state of Texas and top venues in Houston, including Reliant Stadium, Toyota Center, Discovery Green, the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship, City Hall, Rice University, the House of Blues, The Woodlands, Jones Plaza, Robertson Stadium, and Sugar Land Town Square. The Lost Boys have played every major venue in Houston and were a weekly staple in Houston’s Midtown for four years.
The Lost Boys have been featured on Great Day Houston, in Local Houston Magazine, The Houston Press, The Houston Chronicle, Houston Music News, Envy Magazine, Houston Free Press, Midtown Paper, Cowboy Dave Show, KHOU-TV, VAN-TV, 106.9 THE POINT, and 104 KRBE, just to name a few media outlets!
The most versatile 80s band in H-town guarantees your crowd a great time!
BAND MEMBERS - Sum of Talented Parts
Robert Seale - Drums
Robert started playing drums in symphonic band in 5th grade and eventually moved on to marching band in HS, and was on the drumline at Stephen F. Austin State University while in college. Believe it or not, the late bloom didn’t get a proper drum kit until age 27 and didn’t play in a rock band with other musicians until 47! Since then (we won't tell you how long!) he's been "banging on those bongos" in multiple genres from funk to classic rock.
Influences include Vinnie Colaiuta, Matt Cameron, Jeff Porcaro, JR Robinson, Bernard Purdie, Jimmy Chamberlin, Neil Peart, and Stewart Copeland. Fave bands span from Steely Dan to Tears for Fears and Level 42, Talking Heads to Chaka Khan as well as Earth Wind and Fire, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Soundgarden. It's a good thing his favorite 80’s Gen-X latch-key-kid anthem is “Don’t you forget about me because we make that happen every gig! Current live kit: Yamaha Recording Customs (piano black): 8, 10, 12, 16, 22, and Zildjian cymbals.
In the daytime, Robert is a commercial photographer who creates heroic portraits and other memorable photography for advertising agencies, corporate annual reports, and magazines. His clients include: ExxonMobil, Major League Baseball, Pepsi, Reebok, Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and much much more.
RENEE EDD - Lead Vocals
Renee Edd sang before she spoke. She has a 4 octave range, trained operatically and this once-in-a-lifetime vocal range and power has taken her all over the world - including New York, London, LA, Paris, Edinburgh and Orlando - but has always brought her back home to Houston.
Her stunningly clean vocals capture the powerful and complex rock of Pat Benatar, Heart, Steve Perry and Joe Elliot to country greats like Martina McBride, through to new icons like Ariana Grande, Gaga, and Chappell Roan. She also commands a variety of jazz standards, the Great American Songbook and the over 30 years experience in musical theater including Houston's TUTS.
Favorite and real reviews of Renee's vocals:
"Wig! I thought my hair was going to fly off my head..."
"Your voice is SICK."
"How does that come out of such a tiny body?"
"Are you for real?"
"I've never heard anyone sing better in Houston."
She has worked with several popular Houston bands like Primal Funktion, Surrender Dorothy, & Pocket Change. She’s also been part of several original pop-rock projects, including ‘Osiris’. Her original music has been heard on radio as far away as Canada before the onset of internet radio and streaming. Recently, she and Nathan have also started performing acoustic pop and jazz standards in Holiday & Vine. She’s toured all over Texas and performed in places as far away as Puerto Vallarta to groovy cities like New Orleans, Memphis, Louisville, small German towns she can't remember and Nashville.
She’s worked with MTV, Rolling Stone, and ABC – New York. Her other gigs include directing and producing award-winning film, commercials, corporate video projects, coaching acting for film and promotional writing.
Olivia Newton-John, Patti Lupone, Pat Benatar, Pavarotti, Julie Andrews, Joe Elliot and Steve Perry are her spirit animals. With her operatic and Broadway training, the only thing she can’t sing is Death Metal and dark, gritty alto warblings… oh, well. We all have our limitations.
NATHAN KYLE - Bass/Vocals
Nathan is a life-long musician and skilled guitar technician who began performing in church at the age of three. He has played in dozens of groups over the years, developing his versatility by covering musical styles from Baroque to Bang Your Head.
You might see him playing bass, but you also may see him on guitar, saxophone, flute, harmonica, banjo, mandolin, or just singing his ass off. Yes, you've seen him before. Maybe at the rodeo, maybe playing with one of your favorite local Houston bands or solo artists. Yes, even jazz with Renee in Holiday & Vine! And yes, you will see him rockin' 80's tunes with the Lost Boys.
MICHAEL LEE - Guitar/Vocals
Guitarist Michael Lee was born in San Antonio, Texas & weened on hard rock and heavy metal… Favorite influences were Judas Priest, Van Halen, AC/DC, Styx, Night Ranger, and Def Leppard. The 80s bug bit him hard– and has since never let go…
A champion of the stage, he studied acting and theatre in London at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. But graduating with a degree in Advertising, he went on to film and video pursuits… leaving his passion for music and acting behind.
As a television writer, editor, and Emmy-nominated producer, he’s produced “The E! True Hollywood Story,” “TV Tales,” “Rank,” “Fashion Emergency” and “Wild On” for E! Networks, “Texas Justice” for Fox, and locally, “The Debra Duncan Show” for ABC/Buena Vista Television and ‘NewsFix’ for Tribune Media. And a host of sports events and travelogues for national cable networks…
And Mike has done his part professionally to keep the 80s alive. Producing a special “Back To The Eighties” tribute in 2002, he brought the original band, Berlin, to Houston to perform on the show. (Hey, where do you think “Bands Reunited” got their inspiration?) And in 1999, he co-produced the reunion concert of The Go-Go’s live from NYC. (yes, Belinda Carlisle fell in love with him… how could she resist?)
In 2003, after returning from another TV stint in LA, he formed The Lost Boys to bring the “80s Retro Wave” of West Hollywood back east to the Bayou City. The band represents an opportunity to return to his musical roots while remaining at home in the entertainment spotlight.
ANDREW "BOY WONDER" RICHARDSON - Keys/Vocals
Keyboardist Andrew Richardson oozes Nashville pride. Not only did he pick up a degree in music from Belmont University in Music City, but he also played in a country-blues band there for five years (“uh, stick with us kid… you’ll go places.”) And, he hung out with the beautiful daughters of Mr. Monday Night Football, Hank Williams, Jr. (Yes, Holly Williams!)
Andrew Richardson was born into a home in Houston, Texas, where music was a big part of daily life. And 80’s music was constantly inspiring, as it sung out from the radio, tape player or record player. He can even remember writing songs as far back as the third grade. He took some rudimentary piano and guitar lessons, but after a certain point began teaching himself to play by listening to songs repeatedly and duplicating them note for note. In high school and his freshman year of college, he was a member of Houston’s awesome blues band The Poorboys with notable legendary Houston blues badass, The Mighty Orq – “we had amazing bands opening for us like Blue October, Tumbledown, and Deep Ella!”

Influences and inspiration
We're all about the 80s...TOTALLY, Man!
So....we have bits of Madonna, Billy Idol, Def Leppard, The Cars, The Cure, The Go-Go's. A little bit of everyone from the MTV generation!
But we also throw in some great dance hits and sing-a-longs from the 70s, 90s, and even some contemporary stuff on occasion. But, shhh.... don't let that out. It's our little Lost Boys secret.
