Overview
The Ladybirds are an all- ladies vintage dance troupe specializing in Solo Jazz & Blues movement, est. 2016. Their performances highlight choreography ranging from 1920’s flapper, 1940’s WWII to 1950’s soul and rockabilly. They are available for event performances as well as clinic instruction.

October 24, 2023Planning Stage was Painful
I was not happy as I couldn't get the music from them till two days before the event to share with my DJ. Then he had trouble with the file shared. As you can imagine there are a lot of event details that are last minute, and despite several calls and emails, I had to do deal with this issue as well. This is unacceptable as we were paying them a decent amount of money. The ladies that performed were on time, cooperative and pleasant. But, because of the awful preplanning experience, I can't recommend them.

Hi Colleen, I'm sorry you feel this way. I followed up with the DJ to ensure there was no difficulty with the original MP3's that were sent and he assured me that they played as expected and was surprised by this review.
We like to consider that the pieces flow with the evening. The agenda for the evening was finally sent the weekend before while we prepared for another event in DC. Songs were sent later due to both delays, but still in advance.
That I aside, I do understand the woes of phone tag and it's role in event planning. I had a similar frustration.
Ultimately it sounds like the performance was a success and the event was decently attended.
Considering we operate local to you, I hope that this experience can be redeemed in the future.

The Ladybirds performed for our Gatsby-themed holiday party this December. They performed a few routines, assisted and judged our Charleston Dance Contest, and really brought the '20s to life for us. Randi was very accommodating during the party planning process, and the dancers really looked (and danced!) the part. I would definitely rehire them for a future occasion.
