Based on your event and budget, we can perform as a solo, duo, trio, quartet or larger group, with or without a vocalist.

You can expect professional musicians who arrive on time, dress appropriately for your event and are ready to perform. Whether you want sophisticated background music or something more lively and featured, we'll tailor the music and volume to the occasion.

Most importantly, you can relax and enjoy your event. We've done this many times before, and we'll take care of the music.

Jim Josselyn has been a professional jazz guitarist and bandleader since he was 19. He has performed for audiences throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Connecticut alongside some of the finest jazz musicians working today.

The Jim Josselyn Group brings together some of the New York/New Jersey area’s finest professional jazz musicians, performing classic and modern jazz with a repertoire ranging from Duke Ellington and Cole Porter to Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles and Herbie Hancock.

Our musicians have performed at some of the region’s most respected venues, including Lincoln Center, NJPAC, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Birdland Jazz Club, the 55 Bar and Rutgers’ Nicholas Music Center, as well as jazz festivals, country clubs, restaurants and private events throughout the New York metropolitan area.

The group has performed for corporate and nonprofit clients including RWJ Barnabas, Casamigos Tequila, Monmouth Park, the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and the Rumson Education Foundation.

Whether we're providing sophisticated background music for cocktails and dinner or performing as a featured part of an event, our goal is always the same: great music, professional musicians and the right atmosphere for the occasion.

Our requirements are simple — access to an electrical outlet and an appropriate place to perform.

For outdoor events, we require adequate cover from sun and rain to protect the musicians and equipment. In case of bad weather, we ask that any cancellation or change of plans be communicated as early as possible.

We also offer rain dates and, when applicable, credits toward a future event.
