The Jazz Section is a six piece vocal/instrumental combo based in Northern Colorado. We entertain audiences of all ages with our favorite jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. We are available for weddings, clubs/bars, corporate events, house concerts, cocktail parties and dances.

January 9, 2020The Fort Collins Country Club has had the pleasure of having The Jazz Section perform in Whitaker’s Lounge at our Club on several occasions the past few months. Our membership and guests have thoroughly enjoyed their music. Vocalist Heidi Adams is outstanding, as is guitarist/vocalist Bill Smith. Four other talented musicians round out the band. I highly recommend The Jazz Section and eagerly look forward to their next performance here.

The Jazz Section is a group of talented musicians who have fun playing jazz standards and songs from the Great American Songbook. We love entertaining people and can be fun and upbeat or we can keep it down a bit if you're wanting a little more quiet background music with or without vocals. We can be booked anywhere from a solo performer to all six of us.
The Jazz Section is an eclectic group of musicians, both in terms of ages, and where we call home. We range in age from 20s to 60s, and live along the front range from Denver up to Fort Collins. The one thing we have in common is our love of Jazz standards and sharing that love with others.
We can provide our own sound equipment, but always happy to come in and plug in to other sound engineer’s equipment. We have equipment for small intimate venues, and can also set up for large indoor or outdoor events.
