Early in the 18th century, magic (or conjuring as it was referred) emerged as a genuine art form and entertainment. Professors of natural philosophy and conjuring would rent taverns, legitimate theaters or lecture halls for the exhibition and displays of legerdemain, necromancy, or what would today be called “illusion” and “magic tricks.” Top dollar would be paid by the citizens of Europe to see the latest discoveries in the science of “natural philosophy.”
Professor DR Schreiber, the historical conjurer, is a member of the Academy of Magic Arts (Magic Castle) and former president and member for the Society of American Magicians Portland Assembly. Professor DR Schreiber was awarded with the Stan Kramien Excellence in Stage Magic Award from the Society of American Magicians Portland Assembly. He has performed and lectured around the world and is also an instructor in magic as well as a magic consultant for legitimate theater companies. In addition, he is a frequent emcee, magic historian and historical re-enactor. In addition, he is a part cast member at Disneyland and a former TV new producer.
My performance is best in an indoor space. I am flexible and able to adjust to most environments. I also have sound equipment and lighting gear available for an additional fee.

I take my inspiration from the earliest magicians of the 18th and early 19th century. These names have long been lost to popular culture, but include magic greats like Comte, Giuseppe Pinetti, Jean Eugene Robert Houdin and more.
