What can you expect from the Hip Tones? A good time with catchy blues tunes that are fun and funny, lively and thrilling, that spin and sway the hips. Entertaining blues music is our specialty. Expect us to get that party going.
The Hip Tones is a blues trio with over 100 combined years of performing experience. We play upbeat party blues, music with a groove you can dance to. We give you solid down home blues, funky standards, and blues versions of great pop rock by the likes of the Beatles, Stones, and CCR. We love to have fun, we'll give you our own bluesy birthday song, we're always up for a joyous occasion. Want something different and pleasurable? Get the Hip Tones!
It is our performing philosophy not to overpower the occasion. We won't over do it with sound equipment and we don't need to be the center of attention. We want our audience to be able to socialize and enjoy the moment. You will notice us cause the music will get your attention but we still want you to be able to enjoy your friends and family. We want you to have your own fun and still enjoy our band at the same time.

We are influenced by a number of blues and blues rock performers such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, the 3 Kings, Vaughan Bros, Delbert McClinton, Albert Collins, Otis Rush, Taj Mahal, Guitar Shorty, and many other traditional and contemporary greats.
We will need access to electrical outlets and at least a 10'x15' area to set up our equipment and perform.
