The Highsteppers
Overview
The Highsteppers are a scorching hot classic soul and R&B band led by three badass divas. We play both the hits and deep cuts of the greatest era of music and keep the dance floor moving all night long.
With a full ten-piece band, you'll get no samples, no backing tracks, no electronic drums... Everything is live and done the way real rhythm and blues were meant to be.
We have an extensive song list that is always growing (check out our Spotify playlist), and we're always happy to take special requests to customize our performance to your event!

October 5, 2018PHENOMENAL band! Talented, professional, and fun!
The Highsteppers performed at our wedding this summer and they totally rocked. They had the whole party (including me, the bride) dancing all night! We had a blast, and were SO happy we chose them - the music really made the night. Jack was also extremely easy to work with in advance, and the whole band is professional and lovely in person. Highly, highly recommend.

What an amazing experience working with the Highsteppers! Jack was great with communication leading up to the event. The entire band brought great energy and Barbie costumes for this girls 40th Barbie Dreamhouse Party. Perfect way to bring in this decade! Can’t recommend them enough, and I hope to use them in the future!

Wow! These guys made our party! Everyone raved and they struck just the right mix between upbeat favorites that made folks get up and dance to great songs that made everyone feel great! This was a large event in our yard & their volume was not too loud- it was just right. I can’t say enough, these musicians are super professional, they can play anything and the vocalist was super talented. They offered to put up professional lights and their sign but we didn’t think it was needed for this event.

The Highsteppers played at our corporate picnic and was a huge hit! The crowd loved them and they sounded so great. They were an ease to work with and were very self sufficient- which helped with the ease of event day set up. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great live band!

What to expect
We can tailor our set to fit your event. Whether you want the full band playing dance hits all night, a smaller group doing something a little more low key, or a combination somewhere in between, we are professionals and will make it happen.
About
We are a group of veteran Seattle musicians brought together by a mutual love of classic soul and R&B. We noticed that most of the cover bands that play this type of music use backing tracks in place of real live horns, don't dress the part, or just don't put in the time and energy to do it right.
We want to remedy this by bringing these amazing classic dance floor-shaking songs to life the way they should be done, with class, style, and electricity! We are excited to play and that excitement spreads across the entire room and keeps the dance floor packed all night long!
