We are a husband wife duo who love performing stripped down cover versions of our favorite songs for weddings, proposals, and graduation, retirement, and birthday parties. Our musical style is a bit pop, a bit folk, a bit Motown, and a bit alternative country; for example, we cover Amy Winehouse, Leon Bridges, Norah Jones, Prince, Whitney Houston, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, and we're always working on new arrangements of songs by artists we discover. Our specialties are cocktail hours and ceremony music, learning songs on request for the processional, recessional, and first dance. We'd love to play for you!

November 9, 2016I met Anna and Dave through a co-worker and from the beginning I knew we were going to work well together. I had some unique requests for my intro and exit music for the ceremony and Dave and Anna not only NAILED both requests, but were so enthusiastic about performing them. Dave and Anna performed through cocktail hour and dinner and when it came time for our band to play people were so confused because of how totally AWESOME Dave and Anna were, no one even noticed the stage or band being set up!
Cannot say enough good things about The High Spirits. I would 100% recommend them for wedding ceremonies, dinner, and (even though I didn't have them as the main band), I know they'd be great for that as well.
Thank you Dave and Anna for helping to make my wedding so dang special!

November 3, 2016We booked the High Spirits at close to the last minute (one month) and they were fortunately available. We asked them to learn a few songs to perform and needed their help changing the lyrics to one to be more custom for us. In the end, we were very happy with their performance at the ceremony and the reception and we loved how they customized "our song" for us. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. Many of our guests told us how much they liked them and how they seemed like just the right fit for our ceremony. We would highly recommend them.

September 23, 2015The High Spirits played at our wedding in July and were absolutely fantastic. The duo performed a song as part of our wedding ceremony and also played throughout cocktail hour. Anna and Dave are so very talented - - Anna’s beautiful voice paired with Dave’s incredible guitar skills filled the venue with music that all of our guests enjoyed. In addition, their voices allow them to perform a vast array of music, perfect for any cocktail hour. We highly recommend High Spirits. Thank you for being part of our momentous day!

September 14, 2015Anna & Dave were such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were willing to work with my budget and were very open to the songs I requested. They also had a number of great songs in their repertoire already - I ended up going with one they suggested and it was a big hit!
My aim was to surprise a bridal party of 11 people with a love song. Anna & Dave followed my instructions to a tee and we were able to surprise the whole group! Timing was very important in order to pull it off and Anna & Dave were so flexible and communicative that it went off without a hitch!
It was the perfect end to our trip and the bride announced that it was her favorite part of the whole weekend! I can't thank them enough!
