We have a small footprint and can fit in any corner or stage. Our acoustic tone is ideal for blending into the room without overpowering the event. We are very flexible in just about any way and can adapt on the spot to most requests. Easy communication is a priority for us and we always keep an eye on the party to make sure everything is flowing together nicely.

The Heavy Wood Jazz Band is a premier ensemble based in New York City. After cutting their teeth with several of the area’s top events bands, and establishing themselves as fixtures of the New York scene, the group was formed to bring both their professional capacity and their nightlife savvy into the same project. If you’ve worked with many bands, you know the two don’t always go hand in hand. This group knows how to walk into any room and enhance any atmosphere. Heavily influenced by the music of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, this group transforms any space into an unforgettable experience.

We can perform acoustically or amplified depending on the size of the room and number of guests. If amplification is required we’ll need to figure out where the nearest power outlet is and if we’ll need an extension chord to reach it.
