The Haus of Henna

Hi!
I'm a Palestinian American, and from the minute I got involved in henna, I absolutely fell in love. In my life I wanted whatever I ended up doing to be able to spread the message of love and equality, and there's no better way to do it than with art and beauty. Like fashion, food, music, and movies, beauty and art have a magical ability to connect people across different backgrounds and beliefs. That is an extremely powerful way to bring people together.
I'm a self-taught henna artist, and I create everything from scratch. Similar to baking, each design, occasion, and client, sometimes require a completely different recipe. I love the process of creating the paste, applying it, and waiting for the stain to develop. Each encounter is so special, and all designs are made with love. I've never met anyone who didn't want henna done, or had a negative reaction to it.
The ingredients and essential oils I include in my paste are of the best quality, and create the most amazing and relaxing scents. The entire experience is so relaxing, that it's like going to a spa. No matter how stressed you are, you can't help but to relax and end the session with a more calming and peaceful attitude. There isn't a single negative thing I've experienced working as a henna artist, and even the community itself is so helpful and caring. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else in the world. :)
