The Groovy Neighbors are led by a Music Director (MD) with a remarkable career spanning more than three decades, Donnell has toured and performed alongside many of the most iconic groups of the 1970s and 1980s. His experiences with these legendary artists have greatly influenced his musical journey, instilling his playing and leadership with wisdom, versatility, and a profound respect for the craft.

Eliza is a classically trained singer-songwriter whose voice has graced live stages for more than three decades. A consummate performer, Eliza’s versatility shines through in every genre she embraces, bringing authenticity and passion to every note.

Kristin’s family fostered a love of listening to a wide variety of music, but it was when she was eight years old that she discovered the joy of performing on stage. Growing up, she participated in musical theater, talent competitions, and choirs. Kristian has traveled overseas and perform in Europe.

Deuce, a dynamic vocalist and instrumentalist whose musical journey began before most children could read music. Deuce’s talent has taken him around the world and elevated him among the ranks of distinguished vocalists. As a proud member of the renowned “Aeolians of Oakwood University,” he has traveled to Wales and South Africa, touring internationally and competing in prestigious choral competitions. These experiences have enriched his musical perspective, instilling in him a sense of discipline, unity, and the power of song to bridge cultures.

Our Bass Player Art is a dedicated bass player, bringing rhythm and groove to every performance. Whether performing on stage or practicing behind the scenes, his commitment to mastering his craft shines through in every note. Art’s journey is fueled by curiosity, hard work, and a genuine love for music, making him a dynamic and promising presence in the Groovy Neighbors Band.

Our Guitar Player Christian, Christian’s journey with the guitar stretches over 26 years, woven deep into the fabric of his life and spirit. Born into a family where music is a legacy. As a guitarist, Christian finds himself influenced by legends—Carlos Santana’s soulful phrasing, Jimi Hendrix’s electrifying innovation, Eric Clapton’s heartfelt blues, B.B. King’s expressive bends, and Slash’s blistering riffs. These iconic musicians have helped shape his style, infusing his playing with an eclectic blend of raw energy, lyrical emotion, and technical prowess.

CJ our Drummer, was born with rhythm in his veins, Charles “CJ” has been making music since before most could tie their shoes. At just two years old, he picked up his first pair of drumsticks, setting a course that would make percussion not only his passion, but his life’s calling. By age fifteen, CJ’s dedication and prodigious talent had already propelled him onto the professional stage—a journey marked by relentless practice, boundless curiosity, and an unshakable love for the beat. With every beat, CJ carries forward a legacy of inspiration—honoring those who influenced his path and igniting the spirit of joy and connection that defines The Groovy Neighbors Band. His journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the power of music to bring people together.
