The Greyprints is an acoustic rock duo located in Bloomington, Indiana, featuring Ty Franke and Justin Rudisille. After playing music together for several years on different projects, the two decided to start a new band with new focus.
The world is full of ambiguity—what fulfills us the most, what role a relationship might play in your life, or what tomorrow will bring. Likewise, music is not so black and white. The chord structures and designs of a song, as written on paper, should evolve based on the mood in that moment, as it is being performed. The Greyprints hope to take music from a variety of decades and styles that they believe to be meaningful and relevant, play them in a clean and improvisational style, and sing them with a passion that will drawn in audiences.
Ty plays guitar and has musical influences primarily from folk, blues, country, classic rock, and jazz. Justin plays piano and listens to playlists dominated by modern alternative and folk rock artists. Both appreciate singing great vocal harmonies and being creative with re-interpreting music in their own style. They enjoy balancing the soft and simple moments in music with those in-your-face rock moments—putting out more sound than you’d ever think possible by two voices and acoustic instruments.
Featuring a mix of original music and covers, The Greyprints setlist has something to be enjoyed by all.
With two people and two instruments, The Greyprints can perform a self-contained show using their own equipment, or plug in to a house audio system.
