The Greg Simpson Band is new to Gig Salad, but not to music lovers around the West! The Greg Simpson Band was formed by the one and only Greg Simpson in 2008. Greg had been recording, touring and performing for many years as a solo act promoting his three albums, one of which garnerd a Faith in Music award. He toured as the lead guitarist for the hit country vocal group She Daisy and has shared the stage with stars from Little Texas to Richard Marx. He is known throughout the Intermountain West as "the guy who wrote all those Especially for Youth songs." Greg further composed music soundtracks for movies, such as the award-winning film, "God's Army." Greg's vocal prowess is also frequently featured in local television and radio commercials. His raw vocal talent, guitar virtuosity, and songwriting skill are unmatched. In 2008, Greg hooked up with guitar player Kevin Cunningham, whom Greg had admired as his "guitar hero" in his youth, to begin the journey now knows as GSB! Kevin has performed locally and throughout the world for nearly 50 years. Bass player Don Rollins honed his chops in the Southern California music scene in the 70s and 80s, in world-renowned venues such as the Whiskey-a-go-go." The band is rounded out by drummer Clint Weston. Clint's timing and musicality on a kit are what holds it all together. The decades of combined experience come together in a way that entertains and evokes deep feelings as this timeless music fills the hearts of all who hear it. The band focuses their talents on performing the music they grew up listening to, playing, and loving. This band is truly a one-of-a-kind labor of love that they want to share with everyone!

GSB is a four piece band with three vocalists, two guitarists, bass, and a full drum kit.
They require three vocal mics in front. Two guitar amp mics, and a direct line for the bass along with full mics set for drum kit. For monitoring the band uses its own in-ear system and requires a split-snake from the house.
GSB appreciates sound provided by the venue and is also able to provide its own front-of-house sound and monitoring as needed.
