What to Expect
When working with The Gibbonses, you can expect nothing but the utmost professionalism. After years of performing on Cruise Ships, as well as corporate and private events around the country, Jackie and Brandon can quickly adapt to any unexpected changes that may come up during the course of an event.
"It's always our goal to make everything as smooth and easy as possible for the client during the event!"
The Gibbonses are very experienced with reading the crowd and choosing music that best fits the situation. As multi-instrumentalists, the duo can play everything from background dinner music, to all your favorite hits sure to pack the dance floor!
In April of 2016, Jackie and Brandon of the Dallas based, husband/wife Americana duo, The Gibbonses released their debut full length album, 'Among The Rubble'. A ‘timestamp for where they were as artists and humans, each song relates the personal and painful challenges faced during the couple’s first year of marriage. The result, according to Texas Music Pickers is "A captivating record [that] offers a tale of tragedy and finding resolve, leaving the listener engaged throughout the journey in between."
As a live act, The Gibbonses are a must see. With Jackie’s soulful and powerful voice and unique drum set up, and Brandon's rich vocal harmonies and octave driven guitar, the duo has been described as 'the Americana White Stripes'. They have shared the stage with Gary Morris, Bob Schneider, The Black Lillies, Old 97's, Shane Smith & the Saints, Blue Water Highway, Prophets & Outlaws and many other well known Texas artists.
Driven by a desire to connect in a more authentic and intimate way, The Gibbonses decided to take a more ‘grass-roots’ approach to touring. They began producing their own House Concerts, all over North America. Independent of any formal organization or established group, The Gibbonses’ House Concerts are run on a ‘donation basis’ and hosted by fans who often times have never attended or even heard of a House Concert before.
In February 2018 The Gibbonses returned to the studio to record their sophomore album. Walking the line between hopeful and tragic, 'All We've Got' is a reaction to the utter lack of empathy being displayed in today’s sociopolitical climate and our desperate need for immediate course correction. Walking the line between hopeful and tragic, the 10 song album encourages the listener to take an introspective look at themselves and the world around them.
For Jackie and Brandon, it has always been their love of performing that has driven them to pursue their musical careers from a very young age. Whether they’re performing for 20 close friends at an intimate house concert, or onstage in front of a large crowd, the couple have a way of connecting with each and every person in the audience and making them feel like a part of the family.
