The Get Down Boys

We hired the Get Down Boys to provide us with music for our wedding's ceremony and cocktail hour. They nailed the songs we asked them to prepare for the ceremony and their set during cocktail hour was beautiful as well. Even when one of their members went down with COVID the day of, they were able to find a wonderful ringer to join in. They were friendly, easy to work with, and an unforgettable addition to our wedding.

The Get Down Boys and Chelsea Williams were absolutely incredible. Top notch, super talented musicians. We hired them to play the night before our wedding at a chill welcome event in Palm Springs. They played two sets, one more indie bluegrass/acoustic and another more traditional, with a set list including tunes by John Prine, Larry Sparks, Gillian Welch, The Wood Brothers, Mandolin Orange, Ray LaMontagne, etc. Our guests had an amazing time partying with Scott, Mark, Chris, and Chelsea. And my wife and I will definitely be looking for excuses to party with them again. Thank you!!

These guys were hands down amazing! We found them to play a very very special birthday for my mom. Scott, Mark and Chris are all the finest at their craft - they played 3 sets of one hour each for our close family and friends in our backyard under the stars. We hired them for a night of bluegrass and in all the years I’ve seen bluegrass shows, their picking and down to earth personalities delivered a performance that our guests are in awe of & can’t stop talking about! We couldn’t get enough. Most local people even got their info to book again. But moreover I will be hiring them for any house party I have.
In the middle of our sets, Scott pulled up
A chair and played my mom a lil diddy on the mandolin. And whoah!!!! We were all in tears. My mom felt like a princess being serenaded and it was so perfect and unique. Scott’s voice and versatile sound is alluring and one of a kind. I LOVE the feel of Mark’s banjo style and Chris’ stand up bass leads stood out and complimented every part. Their vibe is fun, emotional and feels so very good to the soul.
We will always be grateful for our experience with them. Cannot wait to have them back as soon as possible!!! Xoxo The Saylor Family
