We are going to play songs people know that pack a dance floor. 80s to today, Disco and Motown. Multipart harmony, male and female lead vocal. Great stage presence that entertains. Stage lighting programmed to each song.We have total control of our volume level regardless of the acoustics of the venue. Don't you hate it when a band plays so loud they run everyone out of the venue? Not with The Fringe Benefits.

Contact us about your event and we will prepare a quote for you. Upon your approval we will send a contract. The next step is to meet at the venue to cover details. Later, on the day of the event- we arrive before guests for setup and sound check.

If you like, you may choose 3 to 5 songs from our repertoire that you especially want and 3 to 5 songs you don't want. I’ll create a set list for your goals - which is likely - lots of dancing. We can provide background recordings during dinner or cocktail hour or for an additional fee, we can have a solo guitar play during those times. We can also emcee events as we have done corporate, private and wedding events. Our lead vocalist has emcee'd dozens of weddings.

Now based in Lexington SC (near Columbia SC) but originally formed in 2013 in Gainesville Va. Band founder John Fichtner (Bass and Guitar) auditioned Bruce Moore (Guitar Synth), Julianna Smith (Vocals) and other musicians to form the band. In 2022 the band reformed in Lexington SC with those 3 original members (they all moved!), incredibly talented James Jones (Guitar, Sax), and Jose Gonzales (Drums). Not just fellow musicians but we are great friends with mutual love and respect. You will feel the positive vibe that comes with our performance.

The talented band had a #1 hit on the Independent Radio Alliance and won a songwriting award but now dedicated to playing covers of songs you know. We once played in the VIP lounge in front of Aerosmith. We were selected by Fireball to help them promote their brand. We played for audiences of a few thousand at a wine festival and a large outdoor venue in Manassas VA.

We love that music brings people together and brings joy!

We require electricity on or within 10' of the stage of 30 amps (grid power- not a generator). Stages should be 12' x 18' or larger. We provide our own stage lighting and sound for up to a few hundred people. If larger audience a suitable sound system must be obtained.
