The FM Underground

The FM Underground wants to exceed your expectations. We can be flexible should you wish to extend the hours of your event, can offer pre-recorded music in-between sets (and can play straight through for up to two hours), can offer light DJ work (announcing, contests, special dances), guarantee an on-time performance and use top quality professional PA equipment commensurate to the size of the venue and number of participants. Under some circumstances, we can learn special songs for your event.

We've come from different parts of the country, converging on the Wilmington NC area and were lucky enough to find each other to create The FM Underground. Individually, we have touring experience and some have opened for national acts like Doobie Brothers, Crosby/Nash, ELO, Kansas, Chicago etc. Our desire to hone our sound began over two years ago when we started practicing in a recording studio through headphones, dedicating ourselves to recording each practice and learning to play as one unit-we think (and have been told) this is evident in our live production. While we do write and record our own music, our goal is to provide you with an outstanding live performance you and your guests will not want to end. We will provide sound and lights (no lights for daytime outdoor events) and would need an appropriate power supply. We will provide extension cords, full PA system, full backline.
