The Face Paint Cottage

Before your event, we will discuss your preferences for painting such as: Is there a theme? Would you like small & simple designs, or more elaborate ones? Is there a color palette you would like us to stick to? Keeping your individual needs in mind, we'll create a menu board showing suggested designs that your guests can choose from, or they can request their own design.

We call to confirm details a day or two before the event, then follow up afterward to make sure you were happy with our services. We arrive about half an hour early to set up, and after your event we can clean up and be out of your hair in about 30 minutes. Brushes are cleaned and sanitized between each person. We use only hypoallergenic, FDA-approved paints, which contain antibacterial and antifungal additives.

Hi, I'm Shelby and I own The Face Paint Cottage! I grew up in the Raleigh area, moved away as an adult, and now I am back to raise my four children here. I have been face painting professionally for about 2 years, and I love it! I work with both kids and adults; and while the art is fun, the part I really love is adding to the party atmosphere. This year I added other painters to my team, and we are having a great time. Face paint is a great opportunity for anybody to let their goofy side, their magical persona, or their party animal show.

We need a 5-8' wide, level space with good lighting. We also need access to safe drinking water, a small table, and two chairs. If you're not able to provide these, we offer a table, chairs, and a nice pop-up canopy decorated with shear curtains & flowers available to rent. We also offer optional water service (where we bring our own water & pack it out for later disposal) for a small fee.
