August 14, 2024I was a bit nervous at first because they only had one review and they were not a recommendation from a friend. I had found them through gigsalad but decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did because they really showed up! Very professional and responsive reaching out and responding to messages up until the day of the party. Had a sound engineer come early to set up and make sure everything was perfect. Completely self sufficient bringing all the equipment that was needed. They interacted well with the crowd and birthday girl. And of course the most important part, the music. These guys rock! Playing and singing was on point. Played exactly what we were looking for and had the crowd up and dancing. We all had a dam good time! Give these guys a chance because you wont be disappointed. Thanks Bruce and the band! We will definitely be booking you guys for our next party!

Bio
Together, Bruce Walker, Debby Cannon and Steve Fister make up the dynamic and danceable power trio, THE ENCROACHMENTS!
They have been playing private events in Los Angeles for the past 5 years
and their repertoire includes the great classic hits of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
Bruce Walker – Drums and Vocals
Bruce’s forte is drumming but he also sings the fun dance songs such as The Romantic’s “What I Like About You”. Bruce’s experience ranges from keeping the beat for legends like Chuck Berry to performing with the most highly regarded jazz ensembles in Los Angeles. A veteran of the Rock, R & B and Blues clubs, Bruce brings his great beat and good vibes to the bandstand.
Debby Cannon – Lead Vocals and Bass
Debby’s bluesy rock singing and solid bass groove have been heard all over So Cal with Debby Cannon and The Cannonballs. In addition, she has toured the world singing backing vocals for numerous well known acts and can be heard on record with Todd Rungren, Michael Des Barres and more. Debby’s low register means ZZ Top, Cream and Stevie Ray Vaughn covers are done in the original key!
Steve Fister – Guitar and Vocals
Steve is a world class lead guitarist and recording artist and has played with Bon Jovi, John Kay and Steppenwolf, Quiet Riot, Lita Ford, Pat Travers and many more. Steve has amazing musicianship and style and has written and recorded over 10 solo records. His technique is jaw dropping and his sound is superlative.
