The District 909 Acoustic Duo played at a cocktail party we hosted during a convention in Rancho Mirage. Amazing music and personality! All of our guests enjoyed the music and audience interaction. Kimberly had a box of tambourines and maracas and invited our guests to accompany the music. They have a wide range of songs and play requests. None of our guests wanted to leave and were quite happy to stay all night singing, dancing and listening to the awesome music.

We had the District 909 for our Happy Hour for our residents and WOW! The residents had a great time and really enjoyed their music. They showed up early to set up and even started playing early too! They are great with interacting with the residents which really sets them apart. I would HIGHLY recommend The District 909 Music with Soul for your next event!

I have been following this duo for several years now and have made it a point to go see them any time I can when they are playing open local events. They both have incredible voices and their chemistry is just downright enjoyable to watch! Being a live music junkie I can’t say enough about this duo. My husband & I absolutely love the Duo! We had them perform for our 30th wedding anniversary and they were top notch! Professional, timely, and played all the music 🎶 we love! I now manage Hickory Ranch Steakhouse and we have them lined up for Sundays this summer! Can hardly wait!

I hired The District 909 for my husbands 50th Halloween Birthday! Costume party - taco guys - decorations and 80+ folks (I think closer to 100 were there)...
WISH I could upload a video of how EVERY PERSON was on the dance floor .. the VIBE of our party was EXACTLY how I envisioned.
MUSIC makes the event (some say the food - they are wrong lol) - We received so many compliments and SO MANY questions 'where did you find this band?' ... 'this band is AWESOME'..... 'this band is GOOOOOOD'....etc... truthfully - all night long everyone just gushed about these guys.
They even allowed my husband to sing!! He sang WAR PIGS...and WOW their guitarist? holy crap - he's off the hook...my hubby did ah-ight too!!! :) SUPER fun. Wish I could give them 6 starts.

SUCKS THO that this is NOT A VERIFIED rating EVEN WHEN i went thru GIG SALAD to hire them. GIG SALAD'S website wasn't allowing me to transact there...we tried for 2 days and 7 different forms of payment (that every other site accepts) and for whatever GLITCH reason - we couldn't transact there and were forced to go outside and thru paypal. That is the ONLY reason this isn't 'verified'. I even asked Customer Service to assist w/ a work around (Thank you anyway Shannon Williams) - but that was a no go.

I booked District 909 Band for a party and everyone was blown away by how god they were! Great sound and KimberLee has a fantastic voice! They brought their own high quality sound system and lights. The whole setup was extremely professional and they got everyone up and dancing. Plus, with their large library of songs they play, I can hire them for future events and have a whole different show!

The band was absolutely incredible! We saw them perform at a venue in Yucaipa and they really set the tone for the night. Great song choices that suited the singers voices well and the band was very dialed-in. Would love to see them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a fun and exciting group to listen to!

I hired District909 to play at a convention of 600+ attendees last weekend at a local casino / event center. First off, they are extremely talented! They cover a wide range of music, accommodating to most any crowd. They were friendly and easy to work with. They showed up on time, and I felt bad- I had to have them set up and be ready in a short amount of time, due to a tight schedule of events, but they did it without complaint. I highly recommend District 909.

KimberLee was extremely receptive to what we were looking for and very helpful creating our playlist. This band had everyone dancing at our reception! One thing I missed greatly during the pandemic was the music of District 909! This band is amazing! Mega talent, let me tell you! The lead singer Kim, has a very soulful voice. Her music never ceases to amaze me! She can sing anything! Every song that comes out of her mouth is a treat..I love this band. I am so happy to know they are out performing again!!!!

Not your average cover band for sure, these guys have class and style playing a vast variety of fun and entertaining favorites! In the past year I’ve had the privilege of photographing and getting to know both Kim and Chris as they lead The District 909 band. Whether it’s the full band of just the two of them singing their awesome “Acoustic Music with Soul”, the money you spend will be time well spent. Kim’s beautiful voice reminds me of a cross between Eva Cassidy and Janis Joplin with an edge. The music is top notch and I wish they had CD’s to purchase.
Give them an opportunity to headline your event or private party. You will be glad you did.

I’ve gone to see the band play in Redlands, Mentone and Riverside; both at indoor and outdoor venues. Always a good time! We have extensive professional experience performing and mixing sound at a wide variety of venues that range from million dollars sound systems to private backyard parties. We have played over 150 gigs both indoors and outside. We provide a high-end, state of the art, quality PA sound system, complete with 2000 watt QSC speakers and dual 15 inch subs and lights. If needed, we can arrange for a sound engineer and extra speakers, depending on the event.
