I'll just describe everything as accurately as possible. I booked this DJ and paid in full about 6 months ago. Everything was going fine leading up to our wedding, which took place on Saturday. He informed us on Thursday night that he had a major family emergency and wasn't able to DJ the event. He gave me 2 names of other DJs to try, both of whom were booked and I didn't receive any other help or advice. I had to find someone to MC the event (speeches, announcements, etc. for 150 guests at a nice country club).
He refunded all of our money immediately and there were no problems with that at all. I know he felt bad about it, but if the response I received was, "I'm unable to DJ the event, but my friend ________ will be there to meet your needs. He knows the game plan and you're in good hands" then this would have been a 4 star review. That's not what happened, unfortunately. This mess was dumped in my lap at the last minute with no additional help.
I'm not going to describe the solution we came up with because there wasn't much interest in our solution to begin with.
We hired Bill for our wedding back in October. I got a long with him well in our phon conversations and he seemed to understand what we wanted and meet our needs as far as our venue being in the middle of nowhere and with limited service and power sources. The day went off without a hitch and that had a lot to do with Bill and his help. Not to mention everyone had a great time and everyone was out dancing! Would highly recommend him!
Bill did an excellent job, he went out of his way to make sure my wedding was perfect. Not only did he provide excellent service and high quality professionalism, he also helped outline my wedding over the phone using google docs planning the main events with announcements and music they my wife and I loved. I would highly recommend and encourage you to use Bill for your wedding or special event!
