The Consequences Band
Overview
The Consequences are an outlaw country/Americana duo from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Blending guitar, banjo and vocals with 6-string bass and foot percussion, they deliver a raw, high-desert energy that hits like a full band.
Rooted in classic outlaw country and infused with cosmic Americana textures, their music carries grit, groove, and a sense of place you can’t fake. It’s the kind of performance that surprises audiences mid-set and keeps them locked in to the last note.
The Consequences bring a professional, crowd-ready show with a minimal footprint and quick load-in. Big sound, no hassle, perfect for venues that want authenticity, energy, and something people remember.

April 26, 2026Great Last minute Booking
We had a last minute opening for a major fundraiser and Chris and the Consequences were able to quickly fill in. Without them the event would have been a disappointment and they saved the evening. Their music and energy was great and we were so grateful to have them.

April 25, 2026🔥 “They Played Through the Haze Like Legends… IYKYK” 🔥
As the owner of Monster House Lounge, I’ve brought The Consequences Band back multiple times—and there’s a reason for that.
Room packed. Air thick. Whole place vibing.
And these guys? Locked in the entire set. Smooth, trippy, and riding the wave like pros—no breaks, no misses, just straight atmosphere from start to finish.
This ain’t just music… it’s a whole experience.
IYKYK.

What to expect
When you book The Consequences, you're not getting a bar band ,you're getting two career musicians with world-class pedigrees who happen to fit in a duo.
On one side, a multi-instrumentalist who has studied under legends, opened for Daryl Hall and Booker T. Jones, and brings Telecaster fire, banjo intricacy, and a vocalist's instinct for a room. On the other, a Berklee-trained bassist and percussionist mentored by Jack DeJohnette, who has toured internationally with Savoy Brown, recorded with Garth Hudson of The Band, and appeared on soundtracks and records spanning every genre imaginable.
Together they've distilled all of that into something lean, powerful, and impossible to ignore.
Expect a performance that moves through outlaw country and Americana, through bluegrass and folk, through moments that will genuinely surprise you. Expect a duo that reads the room and responds to it in real time. Expect no backing tracks, no filler, no ego just two people who have spent their lives learning how to make a crowd feel something.
The setup is simple. The sound is anything but.
About
Why are there Consequences
but no prosequences? That's
the question that started it
all. Every ripple has a
direction.
Since forming in 2022, The Consequences have become a fixture of the New Mexico
music scene, delivering over 200 performances that define the "High Desert Cosmic
Americana" sound. Hailing from Truth or Consequences, the band seamlessly weaves
together Outlaw Country, bluegrass, and Americana with unexpected flourishes of
hip-hop and jazz. Their technical versatility—ranging from searing Telecaster riffs to
intricate banjo and steel swells—has earned them slots at the Santa Fe Skyway Rail
concert series and Truth or Consequences Fiesta. Voted Best Band in Sierra County
by the Sentinel. The band is currently in the studio tracking their debut album while
touring the Southwest.
