Overview
We are the Checkerboards, a ska band currently based in Hamilton Ontario. We are known for our very energetic and upbeat ska performances, and have opened for famous ska bands like the Planet Smashers and Mephiskapheles. We play original music as well as covers from bands such as the Specials, the Beat, Operation Ivy, Reel Big Fish, and others. The band consists of Will Henderson (vocals/guitar), Isaiah Ahmad (trumpet/vocals), Alex Dineen (keys/sax), Matt Metwalli (sax), Miguel Grepo (bass), and Johnny Auguscinski (drums).
