What to expect
From your initial contact to hitting submit on a 5-star review, you're in good hands!
Not only are we experienced in entertaining, we are truly passionate about getting to know YOU so that we can create the perfect show for you.
Once we book your event, we'll set a time to chat to get some details from you. For instance, before a corporate event, we want to learn about your company! What do you do? Who are the bosses? Who's the best person to start a Tina Turner dance? We will guide you with the best way to integrate our piano show with other festivities. It's hard to "bah-bah-bah" to Sweet Caroline when your guests are eating, and hard for the crowd to see that fabulous Tina Turner dancer if there's a buffet between the audience and our stage... we'll work with you and the venue to get everything set for success!
The day of your event, we arrive and setup in about 30 minutes from arrival to sound-check. We bring all instruments, piano shells, sound, lights, etc. If your event is large, we'll coordinate with your A/V team to make sure our sound is set up correctly.
And then once it's show time... well, get ready to have FUN!
About
Cactus Keys was conceptualized in late-2019 when Joe and Jef were playing together at a soon-to-be-defunct piano bar. During the 2020 lockdowns, Cactus Keys grew from a concept, to an online streaming show in an effort to keep food on the table. Fast-forward to late 2022, the guys decided to take the show on the road!
In building our brand, we identified some of the most important principles we wanted to focus on. One of those is consistency. The typical relationship between dueling piano entertainers and the companies that book dueling pianos events often leads to shows performed by two musicians who have never met each other... or the booking agent.
We believe the chemistry between entertainers is fundamental to an organically FUN show. We also believe that personally connecting with our clients through the booking and planning phases of an event is essential to building the trust that comes with hiring entertainment. You want to know who you're working with, and we want to know the best ways to craft a show that is unique and memorable. And above all, FUN.
We love to make music, to make folks laugh, and to empower an audience of 5 or 500 to become part of the show!
Additional booking notes
We require one outlet, or an extension cord placed in the vicinity of our performance space.
Our typical setup includes two 12" speakers which is typically enough sound for a mid-sized ballroom, and up to 200 people. For larger events, we will work with your A/V team, or work with you to secure a sound engineer for the event.
In general, we look for a stage size of 10' x 10' (or a flat, dry, setup spot of roughly that size), however, we can and will work with smaller footprints, within reason.
