Overview

The Buckaroo Balladeers are one of Western Music's premier husband and wife duos performing both traditional and contemporary Western Ballads, mixing in a few cowboy stories and a little humor along the way. Many of the songs we perform are written by us and were inspired by our past experiences as a working cowboy, rodeo cowboy, ranch owners, horse lovers, bovine psychologist and just plain Western folks. Great show and wonderful Western Music

“The Buckaroo Balladeers” brand of cowboy music will take you for a ride through the Past, Present and Future of today’s working Cowboy along with an appreciation of America’s rural life style. They have a special gift that allows them to connect with an audience from the moment they walk on stage. We were honored to have them at our very first Western Music & Songwriters Series in Tooele Ut, and will have them in our sights for years to come.” Tyler and Sylvia Guy, founders and producers of the Western Music and Songwriter’s Concert Series-www.westernsong.net

What to expect

Our mission: The Buckaroo Balladeers are committed to provide wholesome, professional, family oriented Western Music and Cowboy Entertainment for our clients who wish to create a uniquely entertaining and memorable experience for their group, clients or members.
Here's what some of our clients, radio DJ’s and Western Music Producers are saying about our brand of entertainment:
"Bursting onto the Western Music scene ...... The Buckaroo Balladeers music has a wonderfully earthy sound which gains the attention of listeners from the very first note. Their songs fit solidly into what today's discerning Western Music fan is looking for, with more than a nod to their Cowboy roots. The Buckaroo Balladeers should be a very popular addition to the show and I expect we'll hear MUCH more from them in the future." Dixie McCorkell, host of the
syndicated show: “Country Legends in the Making”.
“The Buckaroo Balladeers are the real deal with a very entertaining show. The songs they sing takes you back to a time when Cowboys were king.” Ralph & Tamera Hampton, hosts of: Ralph’s Back Porch Internet Radio Show- (link hidden)

We are very diverse as to the type of Western entertainment you may desire. Our show is very entertaining both in a concert setting before an audience of hundreds or even thousands as it is in a more intimate performance around a campfire for an audience of 15.

About

Nashville Recording Artist, The Buckaroo Balladeers, cut their trails from the High Country of the Rocky Mountains, the Sonoran Desert of Arizona to the lush mountains of Alabama ... Their brand of Western Music and Cowboy Entertainment is as free and unbridled as the Wild Horses that they share that great land with. J.C., nominated twice for Male Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists, grew up cowboy’n on family ranches and has spent some time riding bulls and bareback buckin’ horses in Europe.
Sonja spent her early years on the back of some fine, European dressage horses. Together for more than 30 years now, they own a small horse ranch and are one of Western Music’s premier husband/wife duos.
From up beat, wild and wooly Cowboy Songs, to deep and meaningful Western Ballads... The Buckaroo Balladeers are deeply rooted in the Cowboy lifestyle and live it every day. Through their music, they will conjure up visions of ridin’ rank horses, ropin’ with 60 foot riatas, hot iron brandin’ and may even jerk at your heartstrings a bit. Their music is not only known across the U.S., but in Canada, Australia and throughout Europe, as well. They are proud members of the Western Music Association and The Academy of Western Artists.
Folks, we invite you to sit back...take a deep seat...and get ready to be entertained...The Buckaroo Way!
