The Blondies
Overview
We are a very popular band that is gaining more and more recognition in the Bay Area and beyond. We have a growing following who love to hear our original music which is on iTines, Spotify, and Pandora. Our instruments include 2 guitars, bass, keyboards and drums. We play 45 minute to 1 hour sets, can play up to 2-3 sets in a day. We are the youngest band to be named "Gibson Guitar Artists", have been written up n BAM Magazine as "the Rock Dogs to follow..." and reviewed in popular music blogs; "The Blondies have an old-school vibe that not only makes them a pleasure to listen to but a group to glorify for their talent. Sweet Nothings has all the ingredients that make music exhilarating."...

What to expect
You can expect The Blondies to be a very tight and professional group of musicians that have been excelling in writing music and performing publicly for the past eight years.
The Blondies set up quickly and professionally, put on an amazing, energetic, show, where they connect with the audience, lighten the mood, and have fun with each other.
They are a tight group of musicians who have astounded club owners and music pros alike with their ability to read each other as well as the audience.
The Blondies leave the fans/audience always wanting more.
The Blondies have all of their own equipment, including the PA and mixing board that they can also set up themselves if a PA is not provided.
About
The Blondies are Berkeley and Oakland California natives. We have been playing music together for eight years. The Blondies’ gigs include playing at popular Bay Area spots like The Freight & Salvage, The Regency Ballroom, Slims, The New Parish, and Sweetwater Music Hall. One of our biggest achievements, thus far, is receiving the Gibson Guitars Artist award. We were the youngest band to ever get this honor. Another big milestone for The Blondies was being featured in BAM magazine.
Our fan base has been growing rapidly since our lead singer and songwriter, Simon Lunche, was featured in the autobiographical video by "G-Eazy" called Far Alone.
Our third album, Sweet Nothings, blends jazz, rock and pop sounds, while tackling universal and personal stories of joy, love, tragedy and inspiration. In its simplest form, the album is about young love and the obstacles of inner city life. In its most complex form, Sweet Nothings is about the freedom to have dreams and to fight for them.
"The Blondies have an old-school vibe that not only makes them a pleasure to listen to but a group to glorify for their talent. Sweet Nothings has all the ingredients that make music exhilarating."...The Equal Ground - Reviews, August 2014
Additional booking notes
The Blondies need a space that is approximately 10' x 15' to accommodate Drums, 2 guitarists, 1 bass player, and one keyboardist along with their amplifiers, microphones and instruments. A smaller space may work, but would need to know set up in order to customize.
The Blondies need a source of electricity (grounded) , that could be as little as one outlet, but 2-3 are preferred. We will bring our power strips and any extension cords that we need.
There is no specific requirement for lighting. A bit of light is good!

Influences and inspiration
Our music is all original but we are heavily influenced by The Beatles, The Kooks, The Strokes, Simon & Garfunkel, John Lennon.
We are heavily influenced by classic rock melodies, harmonies, and instrumental details. Our music has a light, happy feel that we add instrumental twists and at times Jazzy melody to.
