Concept:

The Beach Cats Band constantly seeks out quality musical material from a wide range of genres and eras. Upon its selection, a song is rehearsed to a high level of familiarity to the performers. The ultimate goal is a well-played show with much humor and connection with the crowd.

History:

The Beach Cats Band was formed by local veteran musicians (from the Pat Pending band) in 2012. After performing many years in the Springfield, Missouri and Northern Arkansas areas, we are excited to bring our act to smaller venues and private parties. Our goal is to interact with the crowd with vocal harmonies, great music and a lot of fun. We love promoting the "Tropical" vibe of beach life with our classic rock and summertime tunes.

Bio:

Merrit Baker: Acoustic guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Harmonica, Vocals. Has been musically active since the late 1960's. Performed with well-known local acts Indian Summer and Pat Pending. Has worked with such acts as: Steppenwolf, Black Oak Arkansas, Dr. Hook, Michael Martin Murphy, and others.

Sharon Baker: Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals. Raised in a musical environment, Sharon has been performing professionally since 1993. Performed with Pat Pending for many years

We will need to know the size of the area we will set up in, and the approximate number of listeners in order to determine the required equipment. We can provide stage lighting if required or requested. Otherwise, we only need to be able to see what we are doing onstage.
We also need an accurate timeframe in which we can set up equipment without disturbing other workers and revelers.
