We're a surf/rock trio based in Central Connecticut. We've been bringing our reverberating brand of rock 'n roll to clubs, parties, and events around Connecticut and in NYC since 2007.
The Aquatudes can play a driving showcase set, spotlighting our well-received original tunes, interspersed with our versions of classic surf-rock, rockabilly, and early rock 'n roll favorites. This would be the typical format for a summer festival, outdoor concert, or any show with multiple bands. The 'Tudes are also available to play up to a full 3- or 4-set show mixing our original surf songs with a variety of vocal and instrumental rock 'n roll tunes from the late-50's to mid-60's.

3. A full multi-set evening's entertainment, combining covers and originals in a rocking, dance-friendly format.
The Aquatudes are a surf-rock trio based in Central Connecticut. They've been bringing their crowd-pleasing brand of rock 'n roll to clubs, parties, and outdoor events since 2007.
The Aquatudes include Tom Bittel on guitar, Dick Bascom on drums, and Mike Rocchetti on bass. Based in central Connecticut, the band creates and performs original instrumental and vocal songs, as well as carefully chosen surf, rockabilly, and vintage rock and roll from the 1950’s and 60’s. The band builds on the unique sounds and styles of surf-rock, from the reverberating guitar and driving drums to distinctive lead and harmony vocals.
The Aquatudes have played at numerous festivals, fairs, car shows, outdoor concerts, charitable events, and clubs throughout Connecticut, as well as in NYC, Long Island, southern Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island.
The band has released two CDs of original music - “Unsafe at Any Speed” in 2012 and "To Surf, With Love" in 2019. The recordings span a range of instrumental and vocal rock styles, from surf to hot-rod to rockabilly, all packed with twang and reverb, catchy hooks and memorable melodies.
With a gigantic song list (150 tunes to date) and their own PA system, the Aquatudes are prepared to play any size engagement, from a house party to an outdoor concert. They can tailor a song list to provide rocking entertainment (or a cool cocktail set) for an hour, an afternoon, or a full evening.
The Aquatudes have a small footprint - Guitar, Bass, and Drums plus three vocals. They can provide their own PA or plug into an in-house system.
