I found Tex on this site and we spoke several times before the event. He played outside as I surprised my wife with music when she got out of the limo to start our celebration. He played 3 songs and nailed all of them. The videos are incredible; his music made my wedding amazing and the look on my wife’s face when she heard him playing with priceless. I could not be happy to recommend someone. Thanks Tex.

Thank you, Connie! I loved the experience. Thanks for the honorable opportunity to share with a beautiful bunch of folks. Village of Honesdale is so nice. Reminds me of my hometown, down in east TX. Folks were so friendly on the streets when I was trying to find quarters for parking meter. Peace and Love

Musician was awesome..very well prepared..put the effort to add some bollywood songs.. played Sax and Flute..the only area of concern was the sound system could have been more powerful as people on the other side of the backyard could not hear much

What a great back yard! Cuisine was way beyond awesome. That was the best party yet, of this century. Your back yard was the Bollywood Bowl. Let's book again, soon. The food... I will never forget each delightful bite.

TexSax was great at our surprise anniversary brunch. He provided the exact songs and vibe I hoped for. Very talented, personable, and accommodating!

What a delightful trio to perform for! I was impressed by your knowledge of my performance repertoire. The blues tune that I played was "Back at the Chicken Shack" by organist, Jimmy Smith. Thanks for sharing your joyous occasion.

TexSax was exactly what we we’re looking for. Great background music / entertainment for our company dinner. TexSax is easy to work with, professional, great communication, reliable and very talented. Everyone is very pleased with his performance. Highly highly recommend ! Thank you TexSax!!!!

Kevin was amazing!!~! He played the flute so beautifully . "He made it seem we were at a concert and not here sitting in this dining room" , this was a quote from one of my residents that I needed to share. Hire him do not think twice! We will have him back!!

Thanks, Tex (Kevin)

Tex played at our rock and roll party in Manhattan and really did a wonderful job. He easily adapted to the music being played by the D.J. and made the experience that more special.

Fun party! Loved the 'rock and roll' theme and jamming along with whatever DJ Byrd played. Hoping to do it again real soon. Loved being a part of your celebration. Thank you, Iris!
Cheers, Tex

You will not find a better performer than Tex Sax. Words cannot explain or express his commitment and professionalism. He communicates often. He is accompanied by his own sound system and he sets the atmosphere in the most unbelievable way.

Aww... Thanks, Larrissa! That was a wonderful experience, being a part of your special day. I knew it was going to be good when the staff was so friendly, helping me become oriented. Then your friends getting things ready were so friendly too. Everyone worked so well together. The whole time there was a blessing, indeed. Thank you!

He is a sweet kind man and an amazing musician. We only found out a few weeks before my daughter's wedding that we needed live music for her cocktail hour. Somehow I was lucky enough to find gigsalad.com and then found TEXSAX! He got our party started (at the Bourne Mansion) ! He played the music I requested. He brought an amazing sound system with him that you were able to hear throughout the three rooms of the cocktail hour. He was so gracious that I choose him, a pure pleasure to work with. I'm posting this quickly because I wanted to give him a Five Star review. As soon as I have pictures or video I'll try to post that too!

I've had the pleasure of seeing Tex perform once a month for the folks at the Adult Day Care Center where I work - and at holiday parties for 'handicapped' teens - they really love him!
I hired him to play at my musician daughter's baby shower and what a nice touch! Saxophone and flute on the backyard deck with a glass of wine and fun people! He fit right in!

Tex is a musical improvisational star. Although we met at the arboretum when we both came to listen to Shenole Latimer and Quartette, it is he who is a master musician and has such little ego (especially when others of his level of musical inclination and ability could possess big ego). He has a wide repertoire as has been stated, however, he has big heart and feeling. He gives back to community with student lessons for kids, but best of all when called upon to offer the healing and joy of music, he volunteers his time and himself freely...for he helped uplift a few children when we went to SUNY Stony Brook Hosp. & he performed and held a small jam session for some children on the pediatroc oncology floor. So thankful he was willinf to help my young student be entertained and creative and and feel some joy or whatever she felt in her heart while facing a challenging time in her short, yet most lovely life. It is also a pleasure to recall and recount his generosity when he accepted to play live at a charitable event for The Smithtown Children's Foundation (then the Branch Brook Children's Foundation), at the Watermill Catering Hall for, "Kisses for Kaylee." Thank you, again, Tex!

This guy really knows how to play the saxophone! An excellent musician whose wide-ranging repertoire can please all ages.

Wonderful ! We hired Tex for two different graduation parties and he made both parties musical delights. A number of guests commented on his expertise as a musician. He came prepared with a large repertoire of music which made it a great event for all ages. I would definitely recommend him. He was charming, easygoing and had a great sense of humor. He is professional, reasonably priced and takes his work very seriously.

I hired Tex for my husband's 50th birthday party in our home and we had a blast! His song selections were entertaining to both the younger and older age groups. He was personable, reliable, professional and a real people person. We all enjoyed chatting with him before and after his set. You can't go wrong with this guy!

Thanks Katherine, What a nice party! The kids were great on the drums, food was superb and I appreciate immensely your hospitality with the whole experience of sharing the art of music with you, your family and dear friends.

This guy was all over the dance floor with that saxophone. The ladies had a ball at that winery and tried to drag him into the limo!

About
TexSax came to New York in 1983 to escape the Texas heat and get some more broad, steady experience in the field of music performance. All types of bands, orchestras, ensembles, duos and solo work is right up my alley. I even play with DJs in any style at the snap of a finger. Cocktail hours, luncheons, nursing homes, funerals, memorials, wedding proposals and wedding ceremonies of any sort are my favorite specialties as I play along with background tracks and my own audio gear and am never too loud for your affair or event. Requests welcome!
