Tex at Wedding Cocktail Hour, Playing a few Special Requests
All saxophones, flute - performance and lessons. Montauk to Manhattan, NY & surrounding states. All styles - jazz, disco, hip-hop, classical, modern, Latin, blues, big band, rock and roll, reggae, patriotic, gospel, pit orchestra...
Of course, solo work is my preferred area of expression. I generally only play alto saxophone for one hour cocktail parties, ceremonies and dinner parties, funerals. A 2-hour party deserves to have some tenor sax as well as alto to spice it up for your occasion as well as myself.
As 'Soloist' I use a very light setup consisting of a JBL Partybox 100 Bluetooth speaker and a tablet for background tracks, no cables or electricity needed.

October 15, 2026Tex’s music, energy and attitude was the perfect addition to my sister’s wedding celebration. 🎷⚡️ We were looking for a way to liven up her cocktail hour & his jazzy vibes did just that. Tex went above and beyond by familiarizing himself with a few of the couple’s favorite tunes leading up to the event. We were so impressed with his talents and the effort he went to in contributing to a wonderful event. We will definitely request him for any future events that need a little extra energy! Thanks, Tex - you rock! ❤️

I loved your celebration. The children were so much fun as I was warming up in the smaller room. Food was fabulous! Thanks for the honor.
Price range: $200 – $500 per event

Insurance: $1,000,000 - I use "per event" coverage whenever required.
I play appropriate music for any event. Never too loud for your guests to have pleasant conversation while dining, listening. I've been told that my music and improvisation stimulates conversation and a fantastic atmosphere.
TexSax came to New York in 1983 to escape the Texas heat and get some more broad, steady experience in the field of music performance. All types of bands, orchestras, ensembles, duos and solo work is right up my alley. I even play with DJs in any style at the snap of a finger. Cocktail hours, luncheons, nursing homes, funerals, memorials, wedding proposals and wedding ceremonies of any sort are my favorite specialties as I play along with background tracks and my own audio gear and am never too loud for your affair or event. Requests welcome!
I bring my own gear for amplification of background tracks from my laptop computer. I usually play 2 or 3 saxophones and some flute at the beginning.

My book contains around 300 tunes of every genre.
I have performed with all types of ensembles and solo. Willie Nelson, Pat & Debbie Boone, Jukio Igesias Senior, Disco, Jazz, Gospel, Funk, Reggae, Rock and Blues, classical and jazz, pit orchestras and cruise ship shows. Toured UK in summer of 2022 for 3 weeks with Hitman Blues Band! Hitman is awesome and the touring thing is Tuff.
Tex now has capability to perform with Bluetooth JBL speaker. It's cool, lightweight, lighted displays and big sound with backing tracks. No electricity source required at your events unless it's for over maybe 200 folks.
