My Influences
My foundation begins with my mother.
Without her, I would not be here—not just in life, but in the values that shape how I lead, serve, and show up. She taught me the importance of hard work, the discipline of consistency, and the responsibility to give through serving others. She demonstrated what it means to be both selfless and confident—strength without ego, humility without hesitation.
Her influence is not something I reference.
It’s something I carry.
Toastmasters is where I began developing my voice.
It was there that I learned how to structure a message, connect with an audience, and refine the discipline of communication. I progressed to the role of President, delivered over 50 speeches, and competed in both international and corporate speech competitions.
More than anything, Toastmasters gave me a standard-
that communication is not talent, it is a skill built through repetition, feedback, and discipline.
Jim Rohn taught me personal responsibility.
“Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.”
That philosophy shaped how I approach growth, leadership, and performance. His ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision set a standard I continue to pursue.
His message reinforced a belief I live by:
Growth is a personal responsibility.
My greatest influence is the pursuit of my best self.
