She was quite earnest and friendly when I came up to her booth, and I felt as if she read me already. She chose, in essenece to my warm appearance at the time, the cottage-core deck, and I indulged. It felt intimate in the pinnings of my person, some vague symbolic sense I felt from the cards, concerning my fears and attachments when under crisis of new opportunities.
My favorite card would've been the porcupine and anemone, for the anemone reminded me of the tale of Adonis and Aphrodite, where when he was torn up by (in my imagination) a bristly boar, she stumbled as she ran to her dying love, piercing her foot and spattering bloodspots of anemone all over the forest. You could read into that as you will, gentle readers.

This session is one that stayed with me. The entire reading was like a regular conversation with a new friend, I was pulled in immediately.
