I am a seasoned host who can bring a welcoming, engaging, humorous style to your event. I've also been producing comedy shows and live events for over 15 years including large-scale shoots for film and television. I understand the planning that goes into events! As a standup, I love working in just about any environment unless it's a tank filled with spiders. Or a tank filled with just about anything. No tanks, please.

Tara Jean O'Brien (USC alumna) has opened for Sarah Colonna, Jamie Kahler, and Justin Rupple and performs regularly with comedians like Jimmy Brogan, Dean Delray, Shang, and Tom Dreesen. She is a regular emcee at the Comedy Chateau, has performed at the Burbank Comedy Fest, a semi-finalist in Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest, San Diego Comedy Contest, the Palm Springs Comedy Fest, the Vacaville Comedy Cash Cow, and venues all over LA. Having been an improviser for the last 20 years, she was on improv/sketch house teams at iO West, Second City, and has trained at USC, the Groundlings, and UCB. Her humor book, Tips For Your Last Year On Earth, was published by Vulpine Press. She’s a former headline writer for The Onion, and has been published in Slackjaw, The Bold Italic, Insider, Jane Austen’s Wastebasket, and Greener Pastures.
