Tanya R. Liverman was born in Wilmington, DE and raised in South Jersey. She is an active citizen of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indians of Bridgeton, NJ. To help bring awareness to her culture, Tanya is a guest presenter at schools and local events.
Tanya’s former employment as a seventh grade teacher in New Jersey in 2003 and an educator in Hampton City Schools since 2007 gave her the desire to create G.I.R.L.S. with P.E.A.R.L.S., in 2008, a transitional leadership program and curriculum for fifth and eighth grade students in Hampton and Newport News, Virginia. Her program and education experience is written in her book, Memoirs of an Educarer, which was published in 2012 and in 2015 as a second edition.
Her drive to inspire the youth enhanced in 2010 when she became co-director with Mr. Carlton Ashby at Six Mount Zion Baptist Temple’s Teen Leadership Academy. Teaching leadership concepts and engaging the community with the students is their main role as they continue to teach teen leaders “The Power in You” concept.
In 2011 Tanya embarked upon a new endeavor and founded Native Productions. As the CEO of Native Productions, Tanya not only helps dreams come true through book publishing, creating custom-designed web sites & graphic design, but she also reveals legacies through managing independent Christian/Gospel recording artists. She offers administration and consulting services to various artists across the nation. It was that same year that Tanya penned the book Journey to Legacy: A poetic timeline of my life. This inspired her blog talk radio show, The Journey to Legacy Show which ran for three years and is still on demand. Tanya’s experience on her show afforded her many guest appearances and as guest co-host on other award-winning talk shows.
In 2012 Tanya was ordained a minister and gained a seat on the elder board at Empowered Believers Christian Learning Center (EBCLC) in Hampton, Virginia under the direction of Pastor John Young, where she has been a member since 2007 sharing her gifts on the worship team and in praise dance and instruction. Tanya has toured with groups, her family, solo, and with her husband ministering in praise dance. In addition, she taught praise dance for the Peninsula Baptist Pastors Council Churchwide Institute for 5 years. She was known as the pioneer praise dance instructor, as before she was selected to instruct, praise dance was not offered at the institute.
In 2012, Tanya began working with her first artists C1 and Mara Suggs. From there, she has worked with and consulted with numerous recording artists, including currently managing independent artist, J. Windsor. To further her knowledge in the industry, she became a student of Excellence in Christian Music Academy (ECMA), where she is a three-time alumna.
Stage production is where Tanya gained a plethora of experience in entertainment. Her company co-hosted a stage play at The Ferguson Center for One Red Nail Productions (2012), Maria: One Prayer Away. In December 2012, Tanya returned to The Ferguson Center and her company hosted and produced Euclid Gray’s The Transformation of Who I Am. Following those productions, from (phone number hidden)4, Tanya produced Joel Roman’s travelling show From Hollywood to Holiness – It Ain’t Easy Being Godly. Tanya branded the show and put an entire production team together, including musical artists from her management company. They travelled locally and up the east coast.
With all the work under her belt, she gained an opportunity in 2014 and produced Quincy Carr’s LIVE show, The Quality Comedy Show with Quincy Carr, which aired an entire season. In addition, she was on the production team and co-hosted the 2015 ECMA Awards gala.
Her strong Native American culture led her to publish Reflections from the Soul in 2014. With her advocacy, it awarded her a position on the Norfolk FBI Multi-Cultural Advisory Board in 2015 as a community representative helping maintain the lines of communication between the Norfolk Field Office and its diverse community.
Because helping others is so important to her, in March 2016 Tanya accepted a position on the Board of Directors at Divine Concept Group, a non-profit organization that proudly serves communities.
In April 2016, Tanya published her fourth book, In The Mirror: A Woman’s Saga, which inspires men and women how to overcome the past, forgive, and be captivated by themselves.
As the plan would circumvent, Tanya was elevated back to radio in May 2016 with Stellar Award Nominated Gospel Central as co-host, web designer, and engineer.
After a nine-week training, Tanya graduated from the FBI Citizens Academy in June 2016 and became a member of the Norfolk FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association to strengthen her community relations. Shortly after, Tanya accepted a role with Portia Bryant’s Still I Rise, where she joined a team of successful men and women who inspire youth to embrace their own path to success.
With many roles in which she operates, Tanya attributes her success to the support of her husband of 22 years and their six sons and one daughter.
