Também is a woman-led band based out of Durham, NC that specializes in the Brazilian styles of samba, bossa nova, and forró. Sophisticated and suave, Também's music features tasteful vocals and keyboards, beautiful bass lines and groove-driven percussion.

Também is a live ensemble performing together frequently across North Carolina and a group of studio musicians producing recorded albums. With the philosophy of using the studio as a compositional tool, their recorded music is multilayered and innovative. “Também” is a Portuguese word roughly translating to “also” or “as well” in English and a key element of the project is the inclusion of a multiplicity of influences to create something surprising, unlikely, and new.
The brainchild of pianist Ingrid Nora Knight, the quartet includes Uruguayan drummer and percussionist Gastón Reggio, and bassist Andy Powell. All seasoned musicians, they have provided music at countless weddings and events since the band's inception in 2018.
